hi lads just got a 28mm mikuni had it fitted at ghost bikes a bout a week an half ago bike was runnin fine up till yesterday then got it out tday and it was boggin a bit and backfiring and and when i was stationary with the engine runnin it kept cuttun out but stars again no probs any ideas why it bakfirin?do you think if i drop the plate on the needle it will sort it out?
you could have some dirt in your carb mate or your timing could be out on your fly wheel

lmao a 28mm! are you running a 160 - 177cc kit?

clean your carb out and see if its still doing it and btw you should post this in the workshop you will get far more replys:thumbs:

i had the same problem and it turned out to be the earth wire bolt not being tight. now sorted bike running great
i had that problem and it was my earth wire,carb and the fly wheel had no wudruff key lol so the timing was dodgy and hardly ever ran properly

its the same bike as yours despisewhats that? you running yx140 with just mikuni or the vm version?

i thought yuors was just a 125 wot engine can i get that i can just bolt straight in?and still have my light ETC

i thought yuors was just a 125 wot engine can i get that i can just bolt straight in?and still have my light ETCmy bikes a yx140 :). you can have any engine you like, all you need is a flywheel (with the correct oil spinner) and a 5 wire stator.
