We have been sponsoring this forum for over a year now and if we were “dodgy” then I doubt the owner would let us have prominent advertising positions on his site.

I find that on the forum recently, there seems to be a lot of negativity from certain members towards GhostBikes.com, but there is no personal back up on their claims. I understand that if you’ve had a bad experience fair enough, its right to say I brought this and this is what happened and this is what went wrong but think it’s totally unfair when members who have not had firsthand experience are passing judgement and making comments that is making people question the authenticity of our company.

We understand some of the criticism comes from the dislike of the bikes we previously sold and the price of spares on the website currently which need to be updated. I’ve seen there’s elitism when it comes to Pit Bikes with certain brands favoured over others, however Pit Bikes is not the only thing we do, nor should it be what we are judged upon, so when giving a negative comment please justify it with an explanation, rather than leaving people to wonder the reasoning behind your comments and wondering whether we are going to run away with their money or not.

We have been established since 1999 and sell on www.GhostBikes.com (http://www.ghostbikes.com/), www.Pro-Jump.co.uk (http://www.pro-jump.co.uk/) and www.UKGoodDeals.com (http://www.ukgooddeals.com/). Since year 2000 we started selling on eBay and have clocked up over 34,350 ratings with a 99.7% positive feedback record, see http://stores.ebay.co.uk/ukgooddeals (http://ads.shoppingads.com/pagead/link_0d81ea10249c5efe38ab_7706c7adfb06405510865688 ec60307d_http%3A%2F%2Fstores.ebay.co.uk%2Fukgoodde als) and a record like that on a tough market place such as eBay is very hard to achieve without extremely good customer care and quality products.

The point in people stating negative comments about ghostbikes.com and judge you on your bikes, is generally because, people on here are looking to buy pitbikes.
If they were interested in other things, they'd needa be on some other sorta' forum, so u can't exactly say we're slating the company because, as a pitbike forum, we judge the pitbike sector of your sales.
So therefore, no, we arnt making a broad negativity about you, as a whole company but in actual fact just the pitbikes, as like i said, thats the sector that appeals to this forum's members.

Also, i'd like to pick up on your point, i have NO first hand experience, but you should know, it's easier to get a bad reputation, than it is to gain a good one, so from the pprevious records, you'd needa be offering fair-prices, and good-quality bikes to regain that rep.

not really crashed,
but i'd say they need a new strategy, but im sure their happy, as he/she already stated, its not their main product, and their making great sales, with good feedback, so its not the main concern like.
but, to get a new reputation, if quality bikes were being offered, at affordable prices, which im not saying they arnt.
and better advertisement, more involvment with them, they'd easily get a good reputation.
they should reccomend new buyers to this forum or sumthing, get a good reputation on here about them.

i (me=my dad) have bought alot of stuff off ghostbikes including the 125 pit bike and 250 pit bike even though we dont have them anymore as we are both upgrading to mx bike, they were BOTH good bikes.
every one seems to have a problem with the 250 pit bike, but the only bad point my dad had was starting it when its cold but apart from that the bike was really good handles well on a track and is pretty fast considering it is a pit bike and not an mx bike. and we have never had any trouble with ghostbikes when ordering on the phone or internet, so in my opinion they are a very good company.

Cheers for the positive comments.

In responce to a previous comment, to be honest the spec on the current bikes I dont think we can go any lower, exchange rates don't help as well. But I honestly think that you will not be able to get the same specification bikes cheaper elsewhere, if you compare the new GMX bikes and other popular brands there's not much in the spec and ours are still priced better and at times higher specification as well

your parts are well overpriced, you could probly get better quality ones then yours cheaper elsewhere. if you dropped your prices abit dont you think you will get more customers with better feedback to give instead of advising people not to buy from you because of bla bla bla.. right now id say looking at your bikes and peoples experience from the past they would rather go for better brands such as STOMP AND DEMONX which have better feedback. your other site you had before www.ghostracingseries.com (http://www.ghostracingseries.com) based in london, people baught bikes then went back nearly every few weeks for parts which he use to take off other bikes and were a rip off but they had no choice he had nothing but complaints and now stopped that business.

GhostRacingSeries were not part of Ghostbikes but just dealers for them and highly successful at what they did. They stopped the business not because it failed but because the owners took over another business and had no time to continue selling bikes.

As mentioned quite a few times, the parts prices will be updated in due course and over the phone you get a better deal than if you go through the website. :)

My experience is:

the £20 boots i bought are alright but the loads of the stitching came out first time i wore them - i spose u get what u pay for there.

the £8 goggles i bought were good and i'm pleased with them.

the 125 bulldog looked like a good pit bike when i was out riding with one.

my mate just got a 08 ghost 125 i was impressed with it lots of good design features and looked strong i was so impressed i looked on there site to see if i could get one.

none of the pit bikes out there are really made to a high standard unless its over the 1000 pound mark and who would be stupid enuf to get one of those for doffing around on them in fields.

mr ghostbike man the current 125 on ur site is 369 do you have any bulldogs left or no of any second hand ones avalible ??? im in bolton most weekends so can collect if you do have any hidden in the unit

I must say in all my dealings, and there have been many, with Ghostbikes I have never had a problem?! They have fantastic prices on Swift Leathers!! And when the digi speedo went on our two shinerays, two cable ones were sent out free of charge!
I've had a 125cc bulldog from them too, and to be really honest, aside from the footpegs being a bit rubbish and bending, I didn't have any problems. SO I don't think it's a case of the bad reputation, I think a lot has to do with how we as consumers spread the word. If we haven't had personal experience, it's no good making what Jimmys mates best friends sister said as your gospel! We just need to be a bit more careful with saying "I know" when and iof we don't ACTUALLY know from personal experience. (In the states, they sue you for lying like that!!)

My only gripe is that the £20 boots and £8 goggles were £30 and £10 when I called in tonight, must be xmas prices.:( Watch out though, every time I've been in the sales assistants try and sell you the expensive stuff, can't blame em for trying though:cool:

The prices will go up and down dependant on the cost to us, we always aim to give the customer a great deal when possible. A few prices have gone up in the last month, however loads more have been reduced. There is also a lot of new and exclusive items coming in stock over the next few weeks as well.

the only thing i can comment on is the fact you've been on about updating your web site prices for as long as i can remember... your complaining because people are complaining, wouldnt updating the site be one way to stop this? people who visit the site having no clue about forums like this one must be put off by them, and thats with no feedback/comments from any one on here
