How New Is It?
If It Is Like BRAND SPANKING NEW Just Keep Pumping The Brake Pedal And It Should Stiffen Up.

Have u tried loosening the bleeding nipple and pumping it through a tube atached to the nipple into a bottle or container. that will pump through all the air bubbles in the tubes. when the fluid is constantly coming through without any air bubbles then top up the resevoir with the fluid that came out, tighten up the nipple. and the breakes should be working fine if all the air has gone. all it needs to be is a constant stream of fluid through the tubes. also before doing so try levering the disk cyclinder behind the pad as far into the caliper as possible. if this doesnt work then im a monkeys uncle.

Pretty much as Andy said really, make sure you have the tube dipped in some oil (a milk bottle is ideal), and it goes like this..
Press lever down
Open up bleed nipple
And oil and air comes out
Close bleed nipple
Release brake.
Press brake
Open nipple
And oil and air comes out
and so on until all the air is out.
If you just pump up and down on the lever whilst the nipple is open, then it will push oil out but it will also suck the oil with the air back in (whats left in the tube) as the caliper pistons are moving back.
Make sure the resevoir is topped up and cant pull in any air whilst you are doing this.
