only reccomended for start in gear engines although can be fitted to non start in gear engines but wouldnt bother as you cant fit the oil slinger to balance out the crank...will not fit on electric start engines either..
you wont gain any extra bhp but will notice a more positive throttle response..

Whats an oil slinger?

well some inner rotor kits come with these some dont.you need a kit that comes with an oil slinger..the oil slinger fits to the opposite side of the crank..if you have a non start in gear engine this slinger will not fit because the clutch is attached to the crank directly..will fit on start in gear engines.when the engine is built in the factory the crank is balanced for the big heavy standard flywheel.once you remove this flywheel and replace with the small flywheel from the inner rotor kit,the crank becomes unbalanced so needs the oil slinger fitting on the clutch cover side of the crank to balance the crank for the small flywheel.

so how have you fitted the oil slinger to the crank on the non start in gear engine when the clutch is attached directly to the crank?

yeah good idea..like i say you can fit ir kit to a non start in gear but you cant fit the oil slinger on the crank.therefore your crank is going to be unbalanced and at high revs will knacker the clutch...bang.

Isn't there no way you could fit an inner rotor kit to a non SIG engine without fucking up the clutch?
