Octane booost!

tsup guys, i heard this thing bout puttung crushed moth balls in your petrol gaive u better mileage and a performance boost... It does work, i decided to put it to the test and no it doesnt mess the carb or the engine. i have a 3 litre tank (stock) crush up3 mothballs an toss em in, wait bout 10 minutes before starting up to let the mothballs dissolv in the fuel properly. this will put your octane up from 95 to bout 98, you can feel the more acceleration power. by putting moth balls in, the fuel is even more flammable and is more oxygenated so it wil make better combustion. ive been using them for bout 8 months now.

note make sure you have at least 3/4 of fuel left in the tank, i havnt tried to go more than 3 yet... dunno bout 2 stroke bikes and mothballs GOOGLE IT!!:thumbs:

EDIT if you want to up the octane boost then there is a fuel called super unleaded

one thing that will give you power is sugar. put about 5 table spoons in your tank and you feel the difference:cool:

It is true Dr Pep, But it's only the very old mothballs because they contain Napthaline. Also they produce very high amounts of toxic gas that if used on a large scale would severely effect peoples health which is why fuel companys don't use additives like this (and obviously because they are no longer available.) Modern mothballs do not contain napthaline therefore wont work as it produces HCl (hydrochloric acid for those who didn't take chemistry) as a biproduct which in constant use will damage your engine.

Nope, they have been deemed 'illegal' as they contain too many hazerdous products. So if your using the modern ones, your gonna damage your engine big time if you keep using them :thumbs:

in sa we only ride at the track with proper 2 strokes but pit bike tracks are pretty cool, most of the time its just causin **** in streets on pit bikes and gettin chased by metros haha lose them thru parks and round abouts

my grandmother used to work at a factory where they made the old ones, thats where i heard of em, factory just got abandoned so just go grab but have to where some old ****ty gas mask, new ones still do the same im sure maybe they do mess up the engine or carb but i havnt had any truble for 8 months from them, new or old, they stil contain nepthaline i havnt had trubl with either of em in my bike so i think its all good, up to u if u wanna do it, no 1 is forcin it

1. whats wrong with using superunleaded if you want 98 octane. Also Ive noticed with a tuned engine if your running 91+ octane you need to be richer on the needle or preferably the next size main jet

2. putting mouthballs in your tank boosting the octane doesnt make the fuel more flammable it makes it less

ive never seen 98 octane where i am, maybe it puts out much more than id think, who knows? definently not peper tosser.
