I got my Superstomp 140 today

I got my bike today and it looks sweet. I was plesently surprised to see that it had an SDG cradle frame fitted, anodised oil filter, open front sproket and newer Lifan engine. Basically the only thing's that were different from the X version is the USD forks and the front wheel being 14".
I haven't run it in yet though, I just gave it a quick go around the garden, but I'm gonna give it a run in tomorrow ( which should be boring :roll: ) I hate running things in lol.
I have a few pics if any of you are interested but I have only just taken them and they have come out a bit dark. I will also be making a video sometime once we get a few other off road toys going that we have here.
So basically if you don't mind having standard forks and 12" wheels all round then I would get a Superstomp 140 if I was you and save the £50.
PS. Well done PPB for getting it to me via 24 hour delivery, I wasn't expecting it that quick.

n1, glad you got your bike quick. Too late now, I should of said before, no matter how tempted you are to ride it dont until your ready to run in, as in go out for real. The garden is no good inless you have a burn straight of 30mph.

sr cant get nothing better, soon that engine is guna be tuned so hopefully im guna get 12 hp from my 125.

800 miles, surely mine should be run in alot less than that as it aint a road one. manual reckons 2 hours.
I remember when I had a new bike on the road when I was younger but that was like 1000 miles, which was so dam fustrating.

Road 125s are at 15hp standard, so it is an underpowered engine lol

Tbo though I think I am gonna follow what the manual says and run it in for 2 hours going steady 2/3 throttle then change the oil, check everything and then ride as any other normal bike. Should be enough.

I hate the run in process, it's gonna be so boring and tempting to give it more throttle. I don't know how I'm gonna cope giving it bugger all throttle :( lol.
We have the room to open it out here aswell, which will be dam tempting.
How long roughly have you guys run a new bike in before riding as normal?

whey thats the way to go i did that but it got serious muddy and boggy and i fell off and got mud in air filter not good not good at all lol bit of wd40 in carb and give the airfilter a wash n blowdry it wer right as rain lol

Yeah if it got that bad then I would stop lol.
But it's all ok as we have a fair bit of land here, so can do it anytime.

That's the worst thing about getting a new bike, I can't stand getting it dirty or scratched. even though that's what it's built for ( the dirty bit not the scratching lol ) I like to try and keep my stuff as new so i get more when I sell it on.

Good deal on the prolines if you can get them.
Nah I won't be selling it for a bit, but I get bored easily and am always selling and switching around what toys I have, so it will happen one day.

Sorry to butt in.....
I forgot to say the forks seem quite soft on my bike, Do they stiffen up a bit after riding for a while. As I think they may bottom put on a jump. They nearly did when I was doing endo's.

Tried running in a bit today but got a puncture, God these pit bikes puncture easy don't they?! So bought a new tube and some slime and fitted my rim lock while I was at it. All done now and just 30 mins left of running in tomorrow. I can't wait to rag it :D

nearly all the the superstomps rear tyre has had valve ripped out in first ride lol so i would get a rim lock and decent tube asap anyone who hasn't had a puncture yet:thumbs:

I think that might just be the X version.

As said they were probably talking about the X version, as I don't think anyone else has the standard Superstomp.

They say its light weight, I have one of those coolers and I can tell you that aint no light weight :p. good and solid though.

Im not saying it would ever snap as it proberly wont but you have to think about these things. Im sure that on the stomp its not welded on, can anyone comfirm? as I saw the mounts to unbolt and looked separate.

Im shure the superstomp 140 are the same including the X version, its just the Elites that have detatchable ones, but im not totally shure.

And if it brakes, which it shoudnt at all.

you can get a new frame for like £55 -65 and see so the cradle bits are cany expensive, its 6 and 2 3's.
