Hi all,
First of all just want to say to hello to everyone as this is my first thread. I have an Xsport CR3 and think its great.
I just want a bit more power and usable gears, just want to hit 70.
I plan to get a 16 tooth sprocket, re jet the carb, fit a rev box, and thinking of getting a exhaust, just not sure which one its either a BBR big bore or a scorpion can.
Anyway any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

when choosing a exhaust there are a few opsions, but if your asking me i would say that the two brothers can is railiable and can give loads more power, you can get these from www.minixuk.com. Getting a new chain and spokets set would help maintain the bikes power, and also keeping the chains well lubed and agusted. And if you get pleanty of money :D you best bet is to take a trip to monkeybikesdrp and get your bike race tuned.

You JUST want to hit 70???
Put it in the back of your dads car.
70mph is excessive to expect from a 125, Aprillia rs125 two stroke race bikes just about reach the 90mph mark after about half an hour, down a slight hill, with the wind behind them.
Your bike is a 4 stroke 120ish cc, it will NEVER reach 70mph. two strokes generate approx twice the power of a four stroke of similar capacity (very roughly) so you would need to spend THOUSANDS to get you bike powerful enough (which would comprimise reliability to the point where you would need to do SERIOUS engine work after nearly every ride), then you would need to fit race bike fairing to make it a aerodynamic (and i don't mean off-road race bike, i mean like CBR/R1 type fairing) then you would need to have the skills of a riding god to control a 10 inch wheel bike at 70, with a high centre of gravity and the weight of you balanced on top of it...
You get the picture?
The claims on ebay are ridiculous, forget about your bike ever making 70mph. IT will not happen - and if by some amazing feat of engineering you did make it to reach 70, it would be so difficult to ride at that speed you would crash for sure.

xsport 110's do 68mph out of the crate jetted so the cr3 can't be far off 70mph!!!!!that's come from s&l, i've got one but never clocked it to see how fast it goes!!!!! it's not impossible me c90 field bike when i was a kid went 65mph and that's a 90 lol
any how back on topic........................... be careful what pipe you buy as alot of after market pipes have the exhaust mount welded onto the can and for some unknown reason the cr3 mount is in a different place, bbr won't fit and neither does the dep (i made the mistake) the scorpion pipe is sweet and WILL fit as the mount is a strap and it also comes with the larger jets to suit the pipe, these pipes are designed around the cr3/ thumps etc.
led to believe there's not really any point in the rev boxes unless you've got a real trick engine with loads of mods like an inner rota etc.
cheap engine mod would be to get the head port and skimmed, probably cost around £100

Hi all and thanks for the replies.
Thanks for the information on the fitment of the exhausts kirky, thats saved me loadsof bother and money in buying the wrong one. The scorpion i will get. Do you know who can do this head work ?? and links etc woul be great. Thanks again
Dangle... thanks for your input, it didnt really help me to much and i dont really car about 2 stroke vs 4 stroke etc etc blah blah blah I'm quite confident the CR3 can g0 70, my DT125 hit it with ease - standard. And as for putting it in my dads car where would it fit in a TT ????? and theres no chance in it going in my car as thats a TT coupe ?? (he works for Audi, so good deal on 2) but thanks anyway.
I will let you know how it all goes

No one has mentioned the Takegawa Racing exhaust, now this pipe is seen on more bikes around the paddock than most other makes combined, now this pipe may not look the best, but performance wise is one off the best.
Like kirky said there r some pipes which require the rear exhaust bracket to be modified, to fit the taki pipe you will need to alter the bracket.

well lets not say it aint possible cause you can do it with a few bits and sprockets but tbh you dont want too. I would keep it at the 50-60 mark for sho

De-restricted 125cc RS125 will hit a ton on the clock, dont know if thats genuine or not but it shows a ton. (Road bike)

Click on the detailed gp results, the fastest was 112 call it 113mph rounded up, now these are race bikes pushing stupidly high bhp and a supreme state of tuning. Enough said.

At standard my pit did 50mph.
Then later I changed the 10" wheels for 14"front 12"rear and added a 16T sprocket from the standard 14T and my friend clocked me in his car at 60mph.
I had to get my friend to clock my speed cause when I changed my wheels the speedo would read wrong = slower.
Present day I have 26mm mikuni carb with K&N air filter and 102.5 jet, ooracing no limiter 14000+ RPM CDI, 17T sprocket, 14"front 12"rear wheels and an oil cap breather. Now I dont know what true speed im hitting, im trying to get a speedo fitted tomo, anyone know how to make the sensor closer to the spoke/magnet ?
Also tomo im making a head breather.

Fraid not dude, you have read the stats wrong.
The 112.79 is the average speed of the lap time at that particular circuit, not top speed.
Rossi's bike does over 210mph in a straight line - 990cc, 240bhp.
Proper works 125's such as the KTM125 (below), Honda RS125, and the Aprilia RS125 have over 50bhp at the rear wheel and will easily do 150mph at some tracks.
Dont confuse some de-restricted road bike 125 with a pure 125 race bike.

Several of my friends have deristriceted RS125s and they all get to 110 easily, after a while most will reach 120. I have seen proof of this whilst driving next to them.
