more power ????

Hi all,

First of all just want to say to hello to everyone as this is my first thread. I have an Xsport CR3 and think its great.

I just want a bit more power and usable gears, just want to hit 70.
I plan to get a 16 tooth sprocket, re jet the carb, fit a rev box, and thinking of getting a exhaust, just not sure which one its either a BBR big bore or a scorpion can.

Anyway any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

depends how much u wna spend mate, u can get bigger valves to let more petrol and air through or u could bore it up.

because 4 strokes fire every other revolution ur not guna go quicker than a 2stroke unless u really tune it up, for example lighter parts, crankshaft, high performance cam etc. have a look at this website www.minibikeoutlet.com (http://www.minibikeoutlet.com) this has alot of parts for sale i duno if they ship over here but its a gd site.

Bl00dy 'ell.....£240 for a 140cc, cheaper and better to get a bigger bike to start. Like a 200cc Hummer. The frame and wheels can make more use of the power.

My advice is..... its BOTH.

I would get a 17 tooth front sprocket, bigger carb - at least a 26mm, a cam regrind (I use Kent Cams -KG522 grind if I can remember, but there are a few others out there) and get someone to skim 1mm off your head for more compression.

The cam and extra compression make the biggest increase in power and make it sound crisper. Std cams have very little duration and lift, a proper cam allows it to rev a little easier and give more mid an top end power.

I wouldnt bother with extra unlimited CDi Box revs, the cranks on CR3's have a tendancey to snap on the flywheel side when being revved hard..... unless you fit an inner rotor to take off the spinning mass, then they are OK.
