Monstermoto 125 Mk1 Pro (stock engine, un-modified)

When supermoto racing a fair amount of oil spits out of the crancase breather pipe all over the back wheel (scarry)

Ok, my fault first time because I put to much oil in, I now put the right amount of oil in, but it still does it, I have put the breather pipe into a catchpot and its slowly filling up with oil.

Anyone else noticed this?

Thought about putting in less oil?
Could change to a thicker oil, any brands recommended?
Are the rings shot? What pessure reading should I see if I kick it over?

Any elp please?

I understand this is normal, the engine gives out a small amount of oil down the breather pipe when in use, you can have it return to the engine by having the tube it comes of in a small pot, that way when the pressure decreases inside the engine it sucks the oil back in.

would'nt jump to conclusions about ya rings unless it's using loads of oil and smoking like a chimney!

remember a little bit of oil can spread a heck of alot of places and seem like there's loads. All engines loose oil that's why the breather is there and you can fit an oil catch tank for this or i've seen setups that transfer the oil coming out directly back to your oil filler cap. The reason the oil comes out is when the engine stall's or when your using the engine to brake when knocking it down a gear to back it into corners, hope this helps

like i said, the smallest bit of oil can look loads. When the engine comes to a sudden stop eg: parking into the hey bails!!!!!! or heavy engine breaking the engine has to give somewhere and it just blows a small bit of oil out.

if it was the rings it would be coming out of the exhaust

would'nt worry unless your using loads of oil
