It looks an alrite bike, Those honda replica engines last a long time, Gearbox oil change every few trips obviously depending on how long you use them for each time, (You wont be using it for very long as your a begginer).
Engine oil, Every half a dozen trips maybe a bit longer
And im not sure what type to use...I use full synthetic castrol gtx for my engine..
EDIT: Just rememberd my gear box oil and engine oil is all in 1, Dont need seperate oils, Others are different..

Ok then so gearbox oil every 2 or 3 times and engine oil every 8 or 9 times, But if the oil is all 1 so they both use the same and if they do use the same then im not sure how often

just so you know, the engine oil and gear box oil is the same  its not seperate so when you change the engine oil it is including the gear oil as its the same stuff.
Once its ran in you nly need to change it every now and again, its not as if there racing engines or anything.

the runing in process u will need to change quite often.
why do ppl say change it say after every 9 hours a car engine is alot bigger and ur supposed to service it every 12,000 miles or per year, so if i was u change the oil pretty often wen runing in and then wen the lump has been run in change the oil say every 3 months or 5 months.

Dan-mel, Yeah its the same on my bike but i wasnt sure weather it was the same on all bikes :icon_lol: And dont change it every 3-5months it depends on how much your using it but i would change it more regularily than that just to make then engine last longer and perform better:thumbs:

rite if u have a highly tuned engine u change it after every event, or 2 hrs.
why waste ur money on oil wen u can leave it in there for alot longer.
standard engines need oil changes say every 3-5months.
tuned engine every event or 2hrs.

OK. how often do you service a car? once every 6 months? and the average car is used a hell of a lot more than on off road pit bike.and they live for years and years with a change evry 6 months. so im shure an engine with a 20 maby even 30 year old design will do just as well.

well if it aint run in I tend you change the oil every 20 miles. And once its run in I change every few months. Thats me anyway.
Would valvoline turbo 10w-40 be ok to use on a pit bike?
