mixture screw

darren u may be helping but mixture screw that could meen alot of things.

e.g. mixture screw has fallun out, the air/mixture is set incorrectly etc.

if u post, explain more. not just mixture how is he guna know which way to turn.

ur mixture is way too rich, bring the mixture screw out a 1/4 of a turn.

if its a mikuni it on the bottom of the carb, if a kehien, its by the idle.

buggered exhaust gasket is usually the case, if its just backfiring when you back off, not a problem realy.

as for realy badly running and spluttering it can be:

water in carb
blocked jet
bad mixture

there the main 3, but it could be loads of other things, but check them first.

:icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: Good idea :kidding: :dot:

I wonder if that would work...

anyway :)

The idea is u dont need to mix oil with petrol as you already have oil... thats what the dipstick is for (Where you pour the oil in) their is the a wee circle thing next to you brake lever with say high/low , you want it dark to just underneith high... You may not have enough oil in which may be your problem... Ill post a pic ;)

first 1 is the dipstick

2nd is where the oil indicator will be (Highlighted in a wee red circle)

Hope this helps, if you get stuck anymore give me a shout ;)
