Sweet mate! Gonna have any of the stomp x 140cc yx's in 3/4 weeks you rekon? Also, what are the differences between the 150 and 140? Is it just the engine size? And I take it they're the new 08 ones? with the improved shock n all that?
Sorry for all the questions, just looking for the best :)
Cheers mate

Stocks are ok at the moment but the Superstomp X 150cc Yx is limited offer at only £499 delivered.
The main difference between the Superstomp x 140 and 150 is the engine.
All stock is the current and latest version available.
They all have the improved white shock.

So theres absolutely no difference between the 150 and 140? - only the engine size? Is there anything better that the 140 has got that the 150 hasn't?
Is the limited offer gonna' still be on around christmas/new years?
Also, could u quickly post up a pic (prefferably a high res) of the yellow graphics compared to the black?
Cheers!

150s faster top end.we use our superstomp x140 and 110fx for offroad and the 140 is the best bike i have had. i have had 110 and 125 rampage from poweroffroad

Probably best to buy a Dirt 140 and a set of Supermoto's wheel/tyres to go with it, or other way around.
Give me a ring if your interested.

Ill be having one of the 150YX's on friday
If its the quickest budget one anyway, or is the 140 better on accel?. Not bothered about top speed.

The 150cc is going to be far more torquey than the 140cc. The 150 has got more acceleration .
Top speed will be more as well due to overcoming air resistance or drag due to mud.
Theoretical Gearing would probably mean top speeds were the same, but considering drag resistance and rider weight, the 150 would be faster.

You have done what i have done dude. Bought the Xmas special which doesnt include dealer setup. Basically you got go over the whole bike and make sure its all good.
FYI - I got mine yesterday and apart from the ****ty oil cooler ****ing oil out setup has been a cinch. Tappets are easy its the carb thats the bastard. But its just trial and error. SHould be fettling a bit more tomorrow so i'll report back again.
Hope you get it sorted soon. My Superstomp 150 gave good first impressions. I;m sure whne the oil cooler has been changed for the billet one supplied there will be no more oil goin eveywhere and can try tuning the carb up so it runs nice. Currently either well lean or far too advanced (which I did retard a bit) but tomorrow we will see.

woah hang on, im a total novice to motorbike mechanics and riding. And am planning on buying a 150 this week. Do they have instructions on what to do when taking the bike out of the crate? Cause I wouldn't know anything about tuning the carb or doing something to do with tappets or whatever? :(
Cheers

Basically all you are doing is checking the bike, you might have to adjust....then again you might not.
The main thing to check is the timing position, a five min job.
All other checks are standard PDI checks for any pit bike......or at least they SHOULD be.
A couple of oil coolers have leaked on 150 yx's thats why a spare is included as precuation....you may or may not need it. Its only an EASY 10-15min job to swap it out.

sorry to ask but how do you check the timing position? And is anything to do with PDI checks in the manual? When I got it I was gonna give it a real good look over and tighten everything up. I guess theres lots more to that?
Cheers

All PDI instructions are included with the bike as well as a PDI sticky thread on here.
Timing is so easy ....a 5min checking job....and instructions are included.

I thought id post up on christmas, whilst im having my cuppa.
I got my pit yest. Although i havn't got it running yet (im too scared to mess with the engine to get it runing without a bit of advice lol, suppose its better than ****ing it up ;)) anyway the first thing is that welshpitbikes / haveagoade are spot on. I got the bike next working day delivery which is impressive for something this big. My order was complete in about 2 minutes so very easy and he also gave me loads of advice prior to purchase. So if you're buying a pit get one from welshpits, well worth the money and the customer services are spot on.
Anyway back to my bike, the first thing i noticed is how much more solid everything feels compared to my chink. All the screws and bolts are hard not easy to round off bags of ****. The spokes are thick, the rear shock is huge. And although there are some reported leaky hoses on oil coolers and brake lines i was supplied with front & rear brakes with pads and calipers and another oil cooler...... Ace.
Anyway all i can say is buy a pit from haveagoade, well worth it.
Cheers
Ade
