you've got a right bike lol
this sometimes happenswhen it's sucking too much air, think base settin on my card is a 1 1/4 turns, dependin on your carb depends where the air screw is
might be other reasons but this is what first comes to mind, also check your jets are clear

Make sure your exhaust is a good fit as this is what happens on my cr3. Had a flame bout 2 foot long at 1 point lol

Might be running ritch and if theres a build up of fuel in the exhaust then it gets a spark from the engine it will make a pop sound and maby a flame.
Or could be a tiny bit of water in the carb and its getting in the way of things so its not working wight. Minde did this a few times and all you do is spray WD40 into the carb.

Running too rich. Blown piston rings would give it little or no compression.

I Think Its Pretty Normal For A 4-Popper To Back Fire.. Most If Not All Will If You Go Screaming Into A Corner And Let Right Off The Throttle.

yer every bike will do it, if you have it reving hard then back off the throttle.
It is just fuel in the exhaust building up then getting a spark or flame from then engine and poping and making a small flame out the exhaust. If you run your bike ritcher it will do it even more.
