Hi all, thought i'd post something useful as ma first post. I am a member of POR's forum aswell anyways
Well I recieved my bike in a week from off ebay and it came in a big old box and a metal crate. I had to assemble it outside my back gate because it was too heavy to move inside!
Anyways, got it together and checked everything. I took the plastics off and started greasing and checking all the nuts and bolts. The fuel pipe wasn't connected to the carb lol.
Changed the oil and took the electrics off and a few stickers. Put in some petrol and kicked it over. Starts up nice and make a gorgeous sound! Very snappy and barky. Like it.
Anyway go for a burn round my little green area, very quick and responsive but the gearbox is a little stiff but I like it. So far so good.
Took it in the woods a few days later, let the bike warm up and had a good hour on it and so far..
Looks - Ya its pretty smart looking, nice tricks bits and shiny stuff
Engine - So far so good, should be very reliable
Suspension - Huge rear shock, performs very well front forks a little bouncy but an oil change will sort that
Exhaust - Ya very good
Frame and swinging arm - Looks and feels very very sturdy and after an hour on the bike I feel very confident (I have ridden a few bikes before etc etc tho). Im 19 and 5'11 weighing 13st! And it can still shift.
Overall, very good. The chain needs replacing and stuff like that but for the money you get a top bike. Mikuni carb also!
Problems - Only had 2 so far, one of the nuts had stripped the thread on the plastics. The one inside the fuel tank. A bit annoying really.
The fuel cap tried to cut a new thread on the tank! But sorted that out.
Clutch cable abit weak. But I can adjust that.
I'd say a very good 9.5/10
