on they thumpstar rear shock it is adjustable but it also has a valve on it(it looks like the valve on tyres)
can a just put air into the shock using an air compressor or would this brake it?

you can try but it will make the rebound like a pogo stick i think lol, if anythin you need to uprate the spring by buyin a replacement

i ended up not taking the shock off.
i do not have a c spanner( the correct tool to adjust the rear spring) so i got a pair it grippers and undid the top bolt that holds the spring don then i thightened the bottom bolt and it is now much harder!
