Stomp Mini GP bikes

Hi all,
just a quick one about stomps new mini GP bikes coming in august, (in case you havnt seen them http://www.pitbikeclub.co.uk/showthread.php?t=48368 )
was really just wondering what people think about them, whether they will be better or worse for SM etc, obviously they will be completely different to a pit, sounds like a good idea to me.
anywayyy, what do you all think?

I like them, but not £900 for a 125.

If you bin it, it will cost a fortune to keep replacing the plastics so most people will end up running them naked, well you may as well just run clip ons on your pit, and get a custom seat unit and rear sets made up.

Fair point, but they have a completely different frame don't they? That and the fact the are clearly much lower, as far as I can see the only real similarity is the engine

And as for the plastics I'm sure it would be easy to make some bobbins that would stop the body from touching the floor, Its commonly done with larger bikes at least

It's not something new to be honest except the use of a 4 stroke. Metrakit's and Conti's have been around much, much longer:thumbs:

Of course yeah, I personally can't comment on the contis and metrakits, but I think it's a very good idea to use a 'pit bike' engine in one of these frames. I suppose it was the next logical step for stomp, with the increase in popularity of the supermoto pit bike

They'd obviously be less prone blowing up and wouldn't need rebuilds as often unlike the 2 strokes. I think it's a way of making it cheaper:thumbs:

Very true, I'm looking forward to see if anyone goes for it and makes a road legal one...
