Making a WPB 140 Race road legal, suggestions?

Hi all! I am going to be buying a WPB 140 Race to make road legal to get me to and from college and go out and about with my mates who also have pit bikes. Is there any recommendations to what i should do to it to get the best performance out of it on the road? Bare in mind that i will sometimes be taking it off road but not regularly, cheers!

Change the gearing smaller sprocket on the back bigger on the front so your not reving the bollox out of it on the road
Use the best spark plugs and oil you can find and always check it regular don't want bits falling off into traffic
Because your using it on the road stay away from the racing cdi all it does it take rev limiter off which will only wear the engine out quicker it's all a different setup using a bike on the road compared to off road

I have a road registered WPB Race 160 - I've added an LED brakelight and a horn. For a speedo I just run a bicycle speedo.

Cheers mate. Is it a hard job? Would i be able to do it with little experience or would it be easier to take it into the shop?

I'm running a 17 tooth front and 35 tooth rear sprockets on my road legal 140, tops out at 70mph, pretty easy job to change both
