They do run a pit style engine judging by the picture.

Not sure what cutting wires will achieve if they run a normal pit/monkey CDi

If you want to make a 50 noticably quicker you need to up the capacity 72 or 88cc kits are a direct fit, bigger carb, better head (or gas flow the one you have) and possibly a better exhaust if the stocker is really restrictive.

Or just drop a bigger engine in
