That multiplug from inside the sproket cover and coming out of the stator cover is the wiring for the gear selector indicator that they use on the road bikes .
Some bike have them cut off others leave them on.
I actually connected up a bulb and holder for the top of the forks and connected it to the neutral indicator wire and earth so I had a neutral indicator.....looked really trick.
There are 5 wires one fo each gear and neutral.
