accelerator problem!

was out on the bike today and when the bike is idleing its just constantly reving alot higher than it should be! ive messed about with the cable and it will sort its self out but soon as i start to put some acceleration on its just sticks again! any ideas?

your cable is either sticking mate or its on its way out it sounds to me like your cable has a kink in it or its starting to shred.

you might have a bit of grit/dirt in your cable mate.

i will have a look and see what i can do! i had this problem think it was the third time i was out on it and all i did was move the cable about and that seemed to do the trick!!
