Hi all,

I have just purchased my first pit bike, a demon x XLR 160.

Please ignore my ignorance but can anyone tell me where to locate the oil filter?

There is a cover located with 3 small bolts just above the dipstick, would this be it?

Just don't want to randomly remove parts.

As far as I know it's as with oil filters on most things, if you change regularly you prolong the life of the engine. As for air filter I am newbie so not sure maybe someone else can suggest upgrades.

I would also like to know if people would recommend upgrading the rear shock from stock and why?

Any other recommended upgrades would be useful too.
