Re: how do i wheelie!!

use second gear bud and tryn not use the clutch.get rolling a wee bit then snap the throttel and tryn catch it with wee blips. once you can keep it up in second tryn catch third for super long wheelies!!!! try a gental slope first. oh n grip the tank with your knees

Re: how do i wheelie!!

just do it how you think you would wheelie

you cant realy explain, and if you go slipping the clutch when you dont know what to do you will end up on your arse

its just a case of getting your weight back and balancing the bike because you cant power wheelie for a long way on a pit.

A power wheelie is a wheelie where you are not at the balance point its the acceleration of the bike what keeps it up

but just get use to the feeling of the front in the air first by douing little ones.

when you get use to it you can change gear in a wheelie you just wack it through without the clutch but its easy to flip off the back when douing that. I have done it too many times it broke the footpeg mount in 2, the rear mudgurad the rear mount on the seat and both the middle mounts on it aswel. lol that was me trying to change from 2nd to 3rd in one

Re: how do i wheelie!!

i panic when my wheel lifts off more than 6" when the front wheel is up , do you balence it with the throttle or the brake? or both? i think the brake idea comes from when i wheel on my mtb

I think it depends really cause some pits just have high ratio like 14T front and 41T rear which is more acceleration wise than my bike when it were standard of 14T 37T. If im in 2nd gear I have to pull/lean on the back to pop it up otherwise I can only start in 1st gear and do it, keeping in mind my gearing is now 17T 37T.

Re: how do i wheelie!!

to be honest wiv ya i aint to bad at wheelies on most of my bikes, the way i learnt was to listen to my mates advising me and i have got to one of best in area,my advice is to learn your bike first and to know where and when the power is, then best way is to start in first gear with or without clutch,it depends on how you feel with the bike, try this a lot of times because its suprising how far you can go in first gear if you get the balance at low revs, hense the felling you are not going as fast so you panic less, then progress from there and you will be a happy chap.
