Help please asap

right, recently

-dropped main jet from 97.5 to 95
- did valve clearences for first time
- cleaned out carb

started bike up. got it idling easy enough
but does not sound as it should at all
its popping like mad also a slight tapping coming from the head but i dont know if this is ment to happen.

is this the valves to tight or the carb set up ?

Re: Help please asap

i know this does not help you now but in future if you are learning only change one thing at a time then when things go wrong you know where to look
if its poping i would check the valves/timing but its hard to tell much from the vid goodluck

Re: Help please asap

Sounds like its to lean. Go back to the bigger main jet,Check your tappets again making sure the motor is on T.D.C. set them at 4 on the ex and 2 on the inlet.
Why did you change the jet?

Re: Help please asap

just put the clip back on the top because even though i dropped down size a main jet its still running rich, it sounds a lettle better but i need to adjut the mixture screw to get it better, few problems though

- when i was cleaning the carb i tryed taking out all the screws but the mixture screw would not come out therefore it rounded off
- mixture screw rounded
- drain screw is nackered because its leaking, maybe float bowl too.

so if you have any to fit my carb let me know

Thanks
