Has your bike suddenly just started to do this or has it started doing it since you worked on it?

VM22 choke off is lever down. Warm the engine for five minutes, push lever down and turn the brass screw on the side of the carb anti clock wise until the tick over lowers.
What did you work with on the bike?

Changed the throttle to 1/4 and float blow gasket

Re: Pitbike 125cc over reving

Also if you've fitted 1/4thrn throttle, did you use a suitable cable or just throw your old one back on? Have you checked it's not too short and causing the carb slide to be in slightly opened position, even when throttle is released. Remove air filter and check the carb slide is down.
