oil leaking from bottom tappet/valve cover
Cant understand this as it was fine before i done a few jobs.
Ive got oil leaking very fast from the bottom tappet cover. None of mine had gaskets on when i removed them just rubber seals. Top ones fine and so are all the repairs i done earlier. Ill tell you what i done incase this could affect it....
Helicoiled sump nut
Added an oil cooler
Changed clutch casing gasket
Changed the take of plate gasket and re tightend nuts around that area...
Meant to be riding to work in morning aswell

just whip it off & stick some sealant on it or a new o ring.

Re: oil leaking from bottom tappet/valve cover
Changed the oring and now its pushing out of the bottom left bolt from the front cover where the cylinder slots on. Its like a pressure leak to me, i put 900ml in it as it was empty, what could i possibly have done to pressure up the oil system?
Oil cooler is all i can think but thats just a simple bolt on jobby...

Re: oil leaking from bottom tappet/valve cover
Just re torqued all the nuts and same problem. Defo seems like a pressure leak.
When i was drilling the sump nut for the helicoil i noticed i went a little too far into the oil feed hole but didnt do any damage just an indent. Providing the is meant to be a hole above the oil filter inside the sump...
(Please dont tell me i made that hole lol )

Re: oil leaking from bottom tappet/valve cover
Well i removed the oil cooler and put the old block off plate back on and its stopped? Seems like the oil cooler is causing some sort of issue here.
You cant even put them on wrong can you?
