you cant put a 138 topend on your lifan 125 gearbox with the clutch directly attached to the crank.you have to buy a 140 conrod kit and have it pressed onto your crank, which means splitting your crank cases.if you have the lifan bottom end where the clutch is linked to the crank via a primary gear then you can replace the whole crank.the 138 barrel is 98mm long same as the 125 barrel.same ports too.like i say the onlyu problem is the gudgeon pin is 0.5mm too big for the little end on the conrod!!

dr pepper hasnt fitted this kit on a 125 he was just told it would fit when he bought it.

if you do what 'the mountain' says .....bore out your 125 barrell and fit a high compression piston.

well ive actually tried this for myself bud.got too different lifan bottom ends and a 138cc kit.ive experimented and measured that many times i know them like the back of my hand.
theres no probs with the barrel fitting, thats fine.i could of fitted it in the end as i could of bored out the little end 0.5mm to fit the 138 piston, but then you are weakening the conrod which arnt the best in the start.after a day of messing about, which im glad i did.because now i know whats involved as ive actually tried it...not spoke about it.alot of people just assume which isnt any good.
i just try these things for myself if it dosnt work.o well.atleast i can pass on the info knowing its true because ive tried it for myself.

Re: bore kit for 125cc

the upgrade kit has a 14mm pin and new bigger piston and a bigger barrel
they are made for lifans but may fit other 125 engines

there's a vid online on how to fit them despise has one on pit source aswell it's same as fittinga 88 kit,

thats why the 138 piston dont fit coz the gudgeon pin is around 13.5mm.
you can only fit if you replace the 125 crank with a 140 crank and the piston will then fit.cant fit this kit on a lifan 125 gearbox with clutch attached directly to crank.will only fit on lifan gearbox with clutch attached to primary gear first.
