Wireless Router
My wireless **** router has just blown up, THANK GOD!
randomly it would stop working, you could still connect but it would just have no internet connection... we rang up Viring (our providers) many many times asking whats going on, thinking it was their modem, but they done some checks and found out that pretty much our router was a load of ****...
some what im asking guys and girls, could someone point me in the direction to a better one, bearing in mind my wallet isnt bottomless... upto £100 im looking for...
the one i had was a D-Link DIR 635
http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop...ProductID=3166
thats the spec, i just need something that doesnt stop connecting to the internet for some reason... Virgin said that there was a reading that kept going really high on the router, which stopped the internet, so i had to keep unplugging it and plugging it back in every time it done it

Re: Wireless Router
I'm with Virgin and I'm currently on 120mb speed.
Depending on what speed your on, you'll be able to get a Superhub (Virgin's answer to modem & router) for free. I think it's 30mb+ then you'll get a Superhub.
So obviously I have a Superhub, the wireless signal is shocking but generally I use Cat6 cable for all my machines etc and it's as fast as you'll need it.
The Superhub has an awful habit of just 'dropping out' (this is a known issue) and will take a good 15-20minutes to come back online.
However, the Superhub has a "Modem Only Mode" that allows you to turn it into a modem and then attach your own router. This allows for the use of a decent router with decent range and the chance to put some nice DD-WRT firmware on it to make it even better.
For a router, I'd massively recommend any Cisco Linksys router - but mostly this one Cisco Linksys WAG320N
Can't go wrong with Superhub in modem only mode and a Cisco router attached to it
Any questions let me know.

Re: Wireless Router
Do you need one with a modem built in, or just a wireless router?
I have this wi-fi router. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=NW-024-TP
You can install custom firmware on it like DD-WRT. (much more set-up/routing options)
Been working great for years.
