Re: Yx160 - Demon X -CRF70

Yesterday was a productive day all in all. Got to the bike back to just a bare frame, and cleaned up the motor. Got a list of the things that need replacing and a list of things that dont necessarily need replacing but I want to replace/upgrade................. A list as long as my arm
This how I planned on ending the day.....

Got abit carried away out in the garage and ended starting to rebuild the bike

Re: Yx160 - Demon X -CRF70

Spent a bit of time Sunday evening cleaning the motor up. The bottom end was the original demon x grey which didn't take much cleaning bit of wd40 and a few rags but the barrel and head where a different story. The cast aluminium took a lot of engine degreaser, scotch pads, wire brushing, coffee and a fair portion of my Sunday evening but I am chuffed to bits with the outcome. Well worth the time and effort.

Here's the before pictures

These pictures were taken after the first clean using the pressure washer and bike cleaner so you can see how shitted up the top end was.

And the after pictures, also cleaned the frame up and bolted the engine back in.
