Welcome to the world of pit bikes, one of the worlds fastest growing sports!!
Do not be fooled by there size, these small bikes offer a huge fun factor!!


General information a quick run through
Pit bikes come in various shapes, sizes, and price ranges but all are intended with one purpose, to enjoy and have fun on!!
People often refer to the larger sized Pit bikes as “midsize”bikes, these are bikes usually with a wheel base of 12”front and rear, or 14” front and 12” rear.
The smaller Pit bikes are referred to as “mini” bikes, these are bikes usually with a wheel base of either 10”front and rear, or 12”front and 10”rear.
Old school Honda z50 style monkey bikes can also be classed as a mini bike.
Pit bikes come in various styles, there is-
Crf50 style which is based on the Honda crf50, Chinese Pit bikes that run the same style plastics are classed as a crf50 style Pit bike.
The most popular crf50 style Chinese Pit bikes in the U.K currently are-thumpstar, xsport, stomp, pitster pro, evo, welsh pit bike (wpb), demon x.

Crf70 style which is based on the Honda crf70, the plastics on the crf70 are very similar to the crf50 plastics but are larger, Chinese Pit bikes that run the same style plastics are classed as a crf70 style pit bike. These bikes tend to be taller and longer than the crf50 Pit bike.
The most popular Chinese crf70 style Pit bikes in the U.K currently are- stomp, welsh pit bikes (wpb), demon x xlr.

Klx110 style which is based on the Kawasaki klx110. Chinese Pit bikes that run the same plastics are classed as a klx style pit bike.
The most popular Chinese klx style Pit bikes in the U.K currently are- Pitster pro, stomp,masai

Ttr style which is based on the Yamaha ttr110. This style is the latest style to be manufactured in the Chinese world, Chinese bikes that run the ttr110 style plastics are classed as a ttr style pit bike.
The most popular ttr style Chinese style Pit bikes in the U.K currently are- Pitster pro lxr, and stomp ace 160.

There are various other styles of Pit bike but the above are the most common and popular at current.
The Japanese manufactured Pit bikes eg, Kawasaki klx110,Yamaha ttr110/90/50, Honda crf50/crf70 usually come with a higher price tag, high quality parts and hold value better.
Chinese manufactured Pit bikes can vary in price, price usually reflects quality of materials and manufacturing process.
However, Chinese Pit bikes are the most popular bought bikes in the Pit biking world with there affordability, ever improving quality, and affordable parts and upgrades.
The most popular purchased Chinese pit bike in the U.K currently are Stomp, Pitster pro, demon x, welsh pit bike,and evo.
Upgraded parts for Pit bikes are widely available and can vary in price, they tend to be made with higher quality materials and manufacturing process, a few of the most popular brands used for upgrades are- Fast50’s, BBR, Tb parts, Pro Taper, Renthal, Uni, Elka, Fox, Dnm, Pro circuit, Fmf, Two brothers, One industries, Reeg, Marzocchi, Red baron, Sano and many more.


Tracks-
Pit bike tracks are increasing all over the U.K with the sport growing rapidly with the ever increasing affordability of bikes and the huge fun factor they create.

Races and events-
  • Mini Bike Masters is the U.K’s Pit bike national race league.
Pit bikes of all brands and price ranges, and riders off all ages and abilities come from up and down the U.K to take part in the yearly race season which usually consists of 6rounds spread out over the summer months.
100’s gather every year for the most important event on the Pit bike calendar, all competing for 1st place in each category.
The rounds are held at some of the U.K best Pit bike tracks.
There are several race categories-
Youth 6-8yrs up to 50cc, 9-12yrs up to 110cc, 13-15yrs up to 140cc,
Adult 50cc pro mini, open mini up to 140cc, klx/drz 110 superstock, open midsize pro up to 160cc, open midsize clubman up to 160cc, over 35’s up to 160cc.

If racing’s not for you or you are wondering what else goes on in the U.K Pit bike scene over the year then don’t sweat, every year more and more fun packed Pit bike events are organised.
  • The are several Pit bike enduro events organised, Cowm leisure located in Lancashire run some of the most popular Pit bike enduro’s, all details can be found at www.cowmleisure.com(pic but will show in emailed version)
  • Battle royal is also a popular annual event organised by Steve Peat hosted at Doncaster moto parc, it is a fun filled event which consists of a weekends riding, fun races and entertainment.
Keep a look out on the forum for details and dates of this event.
  • Fiddy jam is a new annual event started in 2009 by a group of Pit bike enthusiasts; it is another fun filled weekend which consists of riding, fun races and entertainment. The event is usually hosted at a venue in the south of England around September.
