Desktop PC Talk

Right, after around 6 months of research I'm finally in the final stages of getting a new pc to replace my prehistoric 10 yr old Acer. I'm mainly going to use it for schoolwork, video editing (GoPro videos which are known for how big the file sizes are) and playing games such as Day-Z.

I'm driven towards:

AMD FX-4170 4.4ghz
2GB ATI Radeon 6670
16GB DDR3 1333mhz
(Has better motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 (UPGRADEABLE TO 32GB)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OCHW-FX-AM...item2ec18fd3bc

But there is also:

AMD FX-4100 4.0ghz
1GB Nvidia GTX 650
8Gb DDR3 1333mhz

(Comes with Dirt Showdown, which I could not give a poop about)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OCHW-AMD-4...item2a22f49449

Both of these are the same price, what would you say I should buy? (Note what it's getting used for) Will video editing benefit from more ram? Will the game benefit from the GTX650?

What would you say the best all round performer is?

I reckon the first one....

I was having to use an Acer desktop with only 1Gb of ram! So I resulted to my mum's laptop and that didn't do much better!

Re: Desktop PC Talk

AMD processors are bollucks, go for intel i7/i5 cpu, 8-16gb ram for the huge files, 1tb+ hard drive and preferably a nice mid end graphics card (takes load off the motherboard/cpu
