Whilton mill track pls read

SM lot only need to reply pls

i have just spent 1 hr on the phone to martin ( bloke who runs whilton mill bike events tuesday nights and bank holiday race`s )

im sorry to say this but unless bikes start turning up to ride at whilton on tuesday nights there WILL NOT BE A FUTURE FOR BIKE events being run at this track , even on bank holidays , as the owner of whilton mill can not afford to lose money by letting the bikes run and not the karts
as they get twice as much money from karts then they ever will from bikes

pls dont say they need to run bikes at weekends they aint gona im afraid they will not give anymore track time unless things pick up fast
SO IF YOU WANA KEEP WHILTON MILL AS A RACE TRACK FOR SM then things have to pick up ASAP

if anybody has any serious idea how to keep this track going pls pm me them and i will pass them on to martin who runs the bike events

thanks all tony

We need to back this guys or we will lose one of the best tracks available to us. Let's get behind it and get the numbers boosted.

Me and the boys will attend with as many others as we can muster

I can't come mid week. Simple as that. It would be a shame to loose the bank holidays.

I come to as many as I can. But mid week people can't travel 2.5 hrs each way after work (which is how far it is for me).

hiya dayne yup im afraid you will lose all race meets as they take more money renting track to the karts as i said in first post " martin`s words if things dont pick up all bike racing at whilton will stop " as the owner lose`s money renting to bikes and not to karts
sorry bud

oliver_125 there not rent anymore track time to bikes and yes it would be loads better to let bike riders do weekends as its better for us as ppl carnt get to track as Dangle_kt and everyone else say`s

i for one would see it a very big shame to lose this track as i see its a g8t track to ride

but its down riders now either turn up as much as you can or were gona lose it

thanks tony

Re: Whilton mill track pls read

TBH whos going to go and ride after a days work, especially if they're not local.

if they shut then people will just got to other tracks, regardless of if its a good track or not if they're coming at it with a turn up or we won't run the events anymore is hardly the right attitude, work with the bikers.

clearly only have money on there mind and noones interests, same reason alot of other tracks no longer allow bikes.

Re: Whilton mill track pls read

Prob jus probing for more turn around !
It's £85 per rider
Just i'n mini Motos per meeting is £6970
Gp 50s £1820
Gp 70s £1360
Pit bikes £1530
That's if the same people turn up every meeting !
£11,730 per meeting
Fabracing pay for the track for a weekend so it's up to mr whilton mill or mr Martin what they charge !!
I'm not making an argument just making things apparent
Cheers dayne
