Cleaning air filter??
Hi,
I was riding my new bike today for the second time (i'm still running it in) And I don't have any air filter oil. Is it ok to clean the filter and use it with out oil until I can get some? Also do you think it is run in properly yet I have run it for about 2.5 hours at half-throttle? So can I do my first oil change?
Thank you
Kris

I personally would let it run in for another couple more rides just to be on the safe side.
However about the air filter oil. I don't bother, just the odd spray with some WD40.

Wd40 is way to thin. Use some engine oil if thats all you have.

I dont like petrol, it expands the foam cells. Soap and water works perfectly, dry, oil, dry and your away

Simple but effective eh? I normally leave mine in the bath for the night with some hot soapy water.
Leave it out in the sun for a day and wack it on.
A little bit Off Topic here, but whats better. The K&N style filters, or the Spongey ones?
