Legal laws riding pit bikes INFO...

Hi all just wanna know as much INFO as i can about the legal side to riding pit bikes and where we can ride them without the police been able to take your bike off you... I got my pit bike to have fun on maybe take it on a field somewhere or go down the canal down the path ways lol and up the country lanes...So does anyone know the REAL legal rights we have if we get caught by the police what can they do? what can we do if we say SORRY WONT DO IT AGAIN lol ( yeh right ) we spend time setting our bikes up cleaning them and getting them running great then you take it out for 5 mins over the local field and the police spot you and... take your bike off you??? I would maybe hold on to my bike with dear life and not make it easy for them maybe throw a fit lol About 16 years ago me and my mates had scooters and old honda 70's for messin about on off road on fields and stuff and when the police caught us they could not do much and just told us to move on they checked the bikes to see if they was stolen and that was it But now i've heard they can take the bikes off us straight away is this true? Do we get the bike back??? anyone with any stories (TRUE STORIES ) only please so i can get some info on the legal side of where i stand on when and if i get caught on my pit bike. I dont have a trailer and dont wish to buy 1 just to take my pit bike somewhere legal to ride it i wanna live life on the edge

Every One Says That The 1st Time They Catch You They Take It Off You But That Isnt The Case. I Spoke To The Local PCSO The Other Day As I Get Along With Him And He Knows I Have A Pit As He Is Constantly Trying To Catch Me On It. But Know If They Catch You They Will Give You A Section 59 (Its Like A ASBO For A Vehicle) And If You Get Caught Again They Take Your Bike Off You. You Have 10 Days To Pay A £201 Fine Or £100 For It To Get Crushed.

Its not just the money.

It has to be insured and you have to provide a FULL motorcycle license.

On top of this, you have a maximum amount of 7 days - each day costs £100 for storage.

put it this way its all the say gay proccess of trying to get your pit back. Even if your pushing you pit they can take it off you.

Just about anywhere you can think of is illegal to ride.
Including common land, moors, beaches, wasteland etc etc
Only place is private land with consent of landowner, and you shoid have a written statement of that, or theyll take the bike off you.
Also even if its your own land, they can stop you on noise and nuisance grounds with an asbo.

So all in, don't buy an expensive bike cos you risk it everytime you ride it.

I ride on commonland, strictly its against the law, but so are all the other motorists who drive or park on it, so if they give me grief I insist they do t
e same to all the other cars.

well i thnk for diffrnt parts of the country its all diffrnt depends on kinds of bike lyk wether its a minimoto, motoXbike, quad or pit bike nd th police officer tht catches u
