The History and future of pit bikes??

I just wanted to know why were pit bikes invented??

how far do they go back?

how do you guys see the sport progressing?

Like for example in mx with Robbie Maddison's 351ft jump and Travis pastrana DOUBLE Backflip!!! What do you see happening in the world of pit bikes?

Re: The History and future of pit bikes??

people like to relate them to the minibikes of the 70's witch u could say it came from there but really china just come out with all kinds of chit then people like us import it then when we wanted to work with a china company to improve the product it just stuck and more and more people buy one, and over the years this so called pitbike minibike dirtbike etc..... has just got better and better with the build quality and quality control, when something sells and is as fun as a pitbike it will continue to sell hence production has gone from strength to strength

i think you missed capes

The sport is always getting bigger, which is what we all want.

I've gone to my local council about getting a track made locally, so building more places to ride, and like Despise said better quality bikes all the time this industry can only but expand.

did you see thingys jump lol on new years eve in america that waS MINT. i forgat his name but he jumps down from the arche de triumph replica.

It would be good if more companies could start producing more pitbikes so theres more choice meaning that there would be more competion. this would make the sport increase as each company would have to improve and do demonstrations, advertising to show there bikes the best introducing the sport more in the public eye.

Re: The History and future of pit bikes??

Pt bikes comes about as litereally PIT bikes. Bikes to get around the Pit lanes at tracks. Whether it be motorcross, superbike or even nascar.

Then it obviously progressed, The crf 50 was made by honda etc etc

Future i think it will be about as popular as anyother sport.

More Tracks, more people off the streets ruining it for others.
