Old Guy here

Hi Everyone oldish guy from near Glasgow here
Ive had road bikes for years and loved tinkering with them as much as riding them
was given a broken pit during the summer and got it running without much fuss and My 12 yr old daughter asked to have a shot and to my surprise she loved it, we had a fantastic summer and I want to encourage more of her getting away from her phone and outdoors plus spending the time together is fantastic.
Thing is at my age 42 are there many senior riders here ?
Would like to get a bike myself to chaperone her to build her confidence
but Reckon I might feel outa place at some tracks.
Im from just ouside Glasgow.

Hey Oldish Guy I think its awesome what your doing for 2 reasons:

1. Your going riding at 42!!! with your daughter!

2. You are getting another kid off another screen!

So no don't worry about what people think because most people will be thinking that's awesome! I certainly hope I can with my future kids no matter what age I am, Im 26 now but will continue till I die!!

Have fun riding with your daughter Oldish Guy

Re: Old Guy here

In the supermoto championship there is a senior series, just for riders over 40, it has good grid sizes and has some brutal battles.

People keep asking if I'm racing in it (wouldn't mind if I wasn't only 32 )

keep riding!
