jetting
got a yx 140 gen 3 and trying to run a copy mikuni v26 carb at the moment its got 17 pilot and 130 main jet bugger to start and when i knock off the choke it just dies.Gettin a bit peeved with it now so stuck it back in the garage.Whats the best jet size for ease of starting? And are the gen 3 motors known for being crap to start.

Re: jetting
you need to change jets. i got 17.5 pilot on my vm22 on a 110. so you need bigger one and my 160 has a main jet of 108 so small lol

Re: jetting
idle jet then right turn your fuel screw in say half a turn and try that, then try again but 1/4 turns when its is nearly there, stop the bike and count the turns out from softly seated position (fuel screw)and this will tell you what jet you will need

Re: jetting
no but does it start better try another half turn. basically if you get it nearly there or better and the fuel screw is nearly all way in go a bigger jet size
