Ticking noise after doing my valves
So i just set my intake to 0.04 and the exhaust to 0.06 and stuck the feeler gauge in enough to it had a little room to slot into the gap. So after putting my bike back together & sticking a 27.5 pilot in & a fresh oil change my bike makes this ticking noise.

I did.
You know when you put the feeler gauge in, do you push in the valve or do you measure it from the gao when you pull it out?

Re: Ticking noise after doing my valves
Probably not set at tdc on the compression stroke mate, did the rockers have any play in them before you set them

Yeah i made sure that my flywheel was marked at the top & the valve was at its most furthest out. & they had a tiny tiny bit, basically nothing though.

Re: Ticking noise after doing my valves
Anyone know what my tappets should be set to on the z155?
I've done a ton of research and no everyone says 0.10 inlet and 0.15 exhaust, i was going to try 0.04 inlet and 0.06 but its as thin as paper :/

Re: Ticking noise after doing my valves
Don't worry too much about the exact gap,(lots of different sizes floating around the web) the important part is to make sure you still have a tiny gap when it's hot so the valve still shuts.

Did you make sure the piston was at the top of the barrel?
