Re: carb settings

Check your jets are properly screwed in. But my guess you need a smaller main. Have a read here http://www.pitbikeclub.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17593

Re: carb settings

what carb is it, i have a molkt and the i had to move the clip down one to raise the needle height as when i reved it died, the mixture screw is only just off the seat and the plug stays a nice light brown all through the rev range, best thing to do is clean the plug and start up let it tick over for a bit then check the plug if its black then your idle jet might be the wrong size if its ok replace the plug ride at half throttle and check again, thats what i done and it worked

the carb is a 'jingke' . and yeah i never thought of that. i'll clean the plug and move the needle notch right to the bottom, go for a ride and see what colour the spark plug is. then i'll do the same but with the notch at the top. this will show me which way i should move the notches to make it leaner/richer. when i know, i'll just keep altering it until it stops goin black. but ive got a feeling that its goin to go black on every notch as its on the top notch now and still black but thats with giving it full revs. then ill do what you said and do the test when its just idling to tell me which jet i need to make smaller.

am i right in saying all that??

thanks again for the replies
