YX 140 Clutch Problems

got new yx 140 engine but think clutch plates are stuck because clutch will not in gage any help thanks

If the clutch plates were stuck the clutch wouldn't dis-engage

Whats it doing?

No it does not if you put it in gear and pull clutch leaver in surely it should roll but does not thanks

thanks but you start it pull clutch in then as soon as you put it in gear it jumps forward and stalls

yeah the plates are stuck.

leave it ticking over and get hot, lean it over on the clutch side and pull the cutch in and release a few times to try get the hot oil to seperrate them, then..

If you have a stand you can put it in gear and let the wheel turn.

Or just rev it and put it in gear.

If that doesn't do it you will have to inspect the clutch and take it out and manually separate them, you can also see what they look like and maybe replace if they are worn.

How come they are so stuck? left for a long time?

(I haven't worked much with clutches so I am no real expert, take my advice with a pinch of salt.)
