how to tell what generation my yx engine is

It has 16mm kick start and 10mm oil over flow not sure wether it has meddle roller gear box any help thanks

16mm generally indicates a gen3,but both earlier types can be modified to accept that shaft by splitting the engine and fitting the new shaft and new outer casing.

Gen2 also has needle roller upgrade(13 kss)
Gen1 normal ball bearing(also 13mm kss)

thats good to know as ive rebuilt one and had no idea of what gen it was but from what your saying mines a gen2.
