50:1 is 20ml of oil per 1l of fuel.

32:1 is 31 (and a bit)ml to 1l of fuel.
Yep, you're correct fella. My mistake. It's been a while since i was seizing two strokes clearly..from memory, we always used to tip a litre of oil into 25L drum of fuel, so measuring wasn't so critical, just so long as the drum was always the same size. As the fuel was controlled and sold in measured drums, it was one thing less to worry about...happy days.

Re: Hot rod bottom end kit experiences?

i personally run all my 2 strokes at 32-1 pre mix with decent synthetic oil (take your pick of brand they all do the job)
If you have no sign of hotspots or heat damage and wear on the cylinder and piston then chances are this is not the cause.
big ends generally either just wear slowly with use or prematurely with poor servicing or loss of oil/wrong grade of oil. have you got any movement on the crank shaft?

The hotrods stuff has a great rep but beware of fakes from china being sold on ebay and if buying on ebay try and buy from a hotrods dealer

I run my 250 @40:1 with Motul 800, I wouldn't run a 125 at 50:1 despite what oil companies say. 125's rev far higher.

The KTM manual calls for a 60:1 ratio.

My sons KX 65 gets 50/1,
Ive read somewhere that blueing on the crank is normal, Its from the manufacturing process.
