vm26 help

i have got a genuine vm26 on my yx140 with z-40 cam, i currently have a 110 jet in it and it is bogging when held at a 1/4 revs for a few seconds and you have to clutch it and rev it to stop it from dying.

what jet should i try as i dont want too spend loads buying jets too see which one works better.

Thanks, Nick

Re: vm26 help

Its probably not an issue with jets. What happens if you put the choke on? Would it run better or worse. If better raise the needle a notch or two ie lower the clip. If worse raise the needle ie raise the clip. Also how does it idle?
All this when the bikes warm BTW

thanks m8, got it sorted now, i dropped the needle 1 notch and leaned the mixture screw out by 3/4 of a turn, its now much better, sp electrode is perfect color and around the edge is a faint black.
