wiring problems! please help. engine wiring.

Hi guys, need help with the new engine. Using the old jincheng 50 loom.

even if you could tell me what wire goes to where on the CDI and coil.


basically heres the engine wiring. black wire. green wire. black/red wire.blue/white wire. yellow wire and lastly, white wire.


Two wires that I know of white and yellow are useless (for power) any ideas what way the others connect up?

and heres the wiring from the loom. Basically coil is in the wiring somewhere, and this all leads to the plug that fits into cdi. The jincheng plugged right into this no problems. But this engine wont.

yellow/red wire. black/white wire. black wire. red/white wire.

cut the old connectors of and solder them togeather or use some different conecters

estimated guess on engine wiring

the yellow and white will be the output from generator and should give A/C voltage with the bike running

these goto the voltage reg which converts it to D/C

black/red is usually goes to cdi

green is usually earth to reg as well on jincheng engines


bike loom wire functions

black/white= neutral light
yellow/red= cdi
white/red= cdi
black=earth

there must be part of the bike loom with the 3 wires to hook up the generator output too trace it back from the reg under the seat


edit to add its gonna be trail and error to get the wiring right eliminate the neutral light and cdi wiring so u have a spark first

and i dont know about the rest thats all you need for it to run

the first wires are from the loom the 2nd from the engine

this helped a ton also! pretty much spot on.

You are also right about the white/black wire. It doesnt need to be hooked up.
