think my engine may have flooded

hi guys this is my first post. i was out riding today with my son and my throttle piston cap popped off and now my bike wont start checked needle and all is fine do you think it could have flooded the engine any help will be much appreciated

if u flooded it take out spark plug, kick kick start few times to get the excess petrol out the head then put plug back in and try start it
