Bike: Wpb race 140
Just wondering how what type of engine oil you use would make your clutch slip? I thought any good semi synthetic 10w40 was good. Car or bike don't really make a difference does it? I'be just bought some castol gtx to pit in my new bike?

Re: what oil im my 125cc lifan engine???

Actually it does matter; ALOT. motorcycle oil is made to reduce(if not eliminate) clutch slippage, as well as lubricate it and decrease wear. dirt bike oil is for more extreme racing cases that are specialized to dirt bikes. i would go with full synthetic personally and either use Valvoline or AMSOIL

on these bikes fully synthetic makes the clutch slip, use semi synthetic. i know a lot of guys with the trick engines use properly good quality fully synth but generally semi synthetic 10w 40 motorcycle oil is what you want. something along the lines of putoline dx4

haha, hence "Personally"; but you are right. if your just running around, having a good time, i'd use semi-synthetic, this generally works best for most people and uses/cases, but if your going out to "tear shit up" every single weekend, and you are ridiculously hard on your bike, ie, constantly dropping the clutch and popping wheelies constantly and just generally beating your bike to hell, go with dirt bike specialized, synthetic oil. its gonna keep the clutch in better shape for longer and it lasts longer than regular oil, along with being able to take more abuse through its lifetime.
again. this is all a matter of my personal opinion through my experience and the experience of others.

i only ride on track and i am ridiculously hard on the poor engines and semi synth perfect for it. i only use specific bike stuff though. but oil is only in my bike for 2 day riding so i suppose there is that
