01/04/2013

Hi guys, some of you might of seen i havnt updated my klx road build in a while, this is due to change of plan, heres some of the bits ive got on the way:

First of all is a load of bits from Dangle

This is what hes sending me:
D-link frame
Sub frame
Swingarm
Linkage
Tank
Seat
Rear mudguard plastic
Front number board
Front mudguard
Exhaust downpipe
Pitsterpro end can
Fork clamps
Bar clamps
Footpegs
Front brake
Rear brake caliper mount
Sp forks
DNM shock
Twin oil coolers
Rear mud flap

All those parts from this bike: (Dangles pic)

Those bits should be here in a week or so

Also got these bits on the way that should be here by the end of the week:

Airbox
2x tubes
Rear brake lever
Bandit 600 rear master cylinder

Ive left a deposit on some cush drive mags from harry, which will be paid for by the end of the week so will arrive same time as the dlink setup: (Harrys pic)

Gonna be running some maxxis road tyres on these:

Heres pics of the engine setup il be using for this build, a yx160, i have done a bit of a refurb on this with new top end gaskets, piston rings and clutch cover gasket, fresh ngk etc, the engine has covered 1000 miles since ive had it and still going strong, the engine has also been shot blasted by gaz56 on here so looks new, i must say he does a top job! highly reccomended, and i have laquered it so it doesnt go minging again:

Got the talon sprocket and neutral light sensor installed, and the wires all heatshinked together etc etc

So there we go! sorry its not much but il get pics when parts arrive

I also have a load of other smaller parts here ready for the build but not gonna bother taking 1000 pics, WATCH THIS SPACE

02/04/2013

Got my bits from dangle on Thursday, cheers mate!

Shit pics but gives you an idea, need to get a stand welded to frame then il build it up, just mocked it up a little

16/04/2013

Stripped it completely today, regreased all linkage bearings etc as it was all a bit stiff, couple spacers were wrong way round too, all sorted now, also sprayed subframe red, just need to take the frame down to get a stand bracket welded on, will do that later in the week hopefully, nice and clean frame setup:

17/04/2013

Got some bits in the post today, fitted tyres and sprayed subframe

Will take wheels down my work to pump them up asap, and drop frame off for welding sometime this week

Also need to repair or replace the dnm shock :/

26/04/2013

Collected the frame in my lunch break today

Got a little bit done after work today, gonna rebuild the forks tonight as fork seals turned up

01/05/2013

Bit of feckin progress

04/05/2013

Not had allot of time to work on the bike recently but sun was shining and got some work done today!

Fitting new ooracing superspin 5 wire stator, flywheel etc

Mocked it up abit, just placed together so plastics might look wierd position:

Only got a few more bits to order, Katoom is making me some different size dogbones so i can adjust the rear end height

-Exhaust can
-Woodruff key
-Loom sleeving
-Shock compression adjuster
-Dogbones
-Sidestand

Oh and heres a motorized pitbike lift i am making at college that can be lowered/raised to desired height, goes up to 60cm:

07/05/2013

Swingarm was in a right state (all the steel d-link swingarms look battered tbh!) but looks new again now, very simular colour too which im happy with, pic of the spray colour if anyone wants to spray there d-link swinger and keep standard colour

Also managaed to repair my dnm compression adjuster (we will see if it lasts)

Struggling to get anywhere with dnm in china for a replacement

Also got a standard shock on way if worst comes to worst

Soooo basicaly i want the bike DONE by end of May

13/05/2013

I am very close to finished now

Realy happy with how its coming allong!! This is the first pitbike ive had on road thats done all profesionaly, everything mounted properly with custom brackets etc

16/05/13
