Hi guys new to the forum just after some help please.

Iv just got a Lifan 125cc but when you take the choke off it wont run properly.. just bogs and wont rev.. how ever if you stick the choke on full it runs absolutely perfect.. any ideas how i can sort this out..

Any help would be great

Hey, I have 2 lifan125, clean your carbs out and set them if you know how to. Check your spark plug for colour that will tell you how is it running.

By check the plug I assume you mean as in a "plug chop"?

Only works if the engine is under load on WOT to give a rough indication of the state of carburation, it's not very good for checking idle/engine running set up.

I agree with the clean the carb out.

Also - let it warm up for a few mins on choke first - it's cold out there!

Warming it up doesn't help at all!
If the carb needs cleaned surely it wouldn't run right with the choke on? But it does which baffles me!

what carb is on it?

if it runs fine with the choke on would that not mean its running lean without? maybe check your mixture screw?

could be jono.. im not that clued up on carbs etc.. and thats what i did on sunday just ran it with the choke on!

Are you sure you got the choke on/off the right way?

I hope so!!! hahaha!! doesnt idle with it off
