Exclamation Headstock bearings

who has ever changed theere bearings on a masai, all i need is the bottom bearing ive measured my old one and its 24mm I.D and 38mm O/D
i cant find these anywhere , there for a 5.5" headstock, the closest i can find are these

Re: Headstock bearings

J.I.M!! OH J.I.M!!

thats a weird size, im guessing what happening is those forks arnt made for that headstock, however i know theres a solution in terms of finding this bearing size.

what id do is get on the fone to a few bearing companies, tell them what you and no doubt they be able to get it, even if its an odd size and have to order it/have it made

Re: Headstock bearings

yea ill try it, or ... ive just rememberd... the bearing im measureing , which is the bottom one had "gone/broken" all the rollers are missing so it could of lost shape resulting to what im measuring is the wrong size, ive got the forks sorted now, they were designd for 6.25" even tho i was sold them for 5.5" which im not happy about, but ive just changed the stem and they fit nicely now, the top bearing fits sweet into the inbuit cup , justt the bottom bearing which is made for the cups i were given with the new fork doesnt fit the "inbuilt" cups of my headstock

just had a thought, the bearing isnt going to be going fully into the heastock anyway , the very bottom of the headstock will align with the bottom of the bearing (widest part) so it will be that size , dumb me

Re: Headstock bearings

You'll need the inside measurement of the bearing (so it'll fit the stem)
The outside of the cup (to fit into the headstock)
And the thickness (how deep it's going into the headstock)

There's a bearing supplier local to us, i just take my old ones down and they'll match them up.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pit-Bike-Heads...item2305206b5d

These are the ones i used when changing from standard forks to usds on my xsport.
And im sure the masai and the xsport have the same frame?
(correct me if I'm wrong)
