My new monkey project

Here we go again! Going to do a from scratch monkey build....going to take my time so I can get the best parts possible. Engine wise I'm going YX140 with cam and hi-comp piston, nothing too radical! To start me off, picking up a bargain of a chassis.







All Jap parts except the forks.

Frame is Kitaco aluminium (£775 new! http://www.monkeybike.co.uk/acatalog...e_for_Z50.html)
Swinger is Kitaco braced monoshock (£300 new)
Shock is a Kayaba (£300! http://www.monkeybike.co.uk/acatalog...or_Monkey.html)
Forks are OORacing wideglide, that have had the gold anodising stripped (£300 new)


Next to come is probably engine, or wheels, or tank (getting genuine Honda in HRC colours nearly £200 :s)

some serious money being spent on parts there mate, make sure u keep it all jap or as much as possable, ull have a wicked bike when its finished

will probably go chinese for some smaller bits, as it is just not worth the extra cost. the wheels i want are cnc'd ali 5 spokes, chinese but awesome looking.

as for the cost of the frameset...paying 525 for everything you see in the photos and a whole lot more. bloody bargain
