Re: Help!!!!

2/ pistons are so simple to do
there are a million guides on the net buddy
just have a look on ebay for a piston kit with the gaskets and everything,

You dont have any valves or timing to do on a 2/
once you get her open post a GOOD pic of the inside of the cylinder (where the piston slides up and down)

Re: Help!!!!

Every broke two stroke ever sold "just needs a piston mate"

If it really just needs a "piston" they are saying it is down on compression as the rings are no longer sealing to the bore, if that was true then they are implying they wouldn't just fit rings, but a whole piston because they like to do it properly...or more likely they can't just spend the £5 on a set of rings, reuse the old gaskets and flog it running...because there is more wrong or they aint got a clue - and if they aint got a clue I wouldn't buy a 2 stroke off them as they are pretty highly strung things and if not preventatively maintained can need a lot of money spending sorting them when they break..

Re: Help!!!!

As said before 2 strokes are easy to build as there's no timing and valves to mess with. When I blew my yz 125 up I got a big end bearing wisco piston with rings and little end bearing for £72 so that gives you and idea obviously no labour charge as I did it myself if I was u ide get a new top end gasket set aswell because you may damage the old one taking it to bits

A cr80 will be easier to do a piston on than a pitbike as there's no valve timing issues
